A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?" Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this."

He proceeded to crumple the dollar bill up. He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air. "Well," he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now all crumpled and dirty.

"Now who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air.
"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless.
But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value in God's eyes. To Him, dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to Him.

While at the park one day, man sat down next to a man on a bench near a playground.

“That’s my son over there,” he said, pointing to a little boy in a red sweater who was gliding down the slide.

“He’s a fine looking boy” the man said. “That’s my daughter on the bicycle in the white dress.”

Then, looking at his watch, he called to his daughter. “What do you say we go, Mariyam ?”

Mariyam pleaded, “Just five more minutes, Dad. Please? Just five more minutes.”

The man nodded and Mariyam continued to ride her bicycle to her heart’s content. Minutes passed and the father stood and called again to his daughter. “Time to go now?”

Again Mariyam pleaded, “Five more minutes, Dad. Just five more minutes.”

The man smiled and said, “OK.”

“ you certainly are a patient father,” the man responded.

The man smiled and then said, “Her older brother Arafat was killed by a drunk driver last year while he was riding his bicycle near here. I never spent much time with Arafat and now I’d give anything for just five more minutes with him. I’ve vowed not to make the same mistake with Mariyam.

She thinks she has five more minutes to ride her bicycle. The truth is, I get Five more minutes to watch her play.”
